Our Reflections:

One of the aspects that truly resonated with us was gaining a deeper understanding of the King's philosophy. This insight allowed us to appreciate the cultural values and the essence of unity that the Thai Navy embodies. It's truly inspiring to witness how these principles are embraced by the officers and resonate throughout the entire organization, reflecting every aspect of their duties. We just learned that the King’s philosophy is not just Sufficiency Agriculture but it is a lifestyle His Majesty King Bhumibol, the Great designed for all the civilians to live a safe, sustained, and truly successful life.

We had an incredibly enjoyable experience diving with the Navy SEAL Instructors showcasing their advanced snorkeling and freediving skills. We also had the experience of boarding the Navy SEAL Rubber Boat. The breathtaking views of Thai Navy Beach were truly remarkable. To be honest, it was the first time that we went snorkeling, so we were a little concerned about safety issues.

On the other hand, when we discovered that our instructor is a Navy SEAL, we felt relieved and proud that we were diving with them. This was a once in lifetime experience training to snorkeling with the Navy SEAL who also participated in the trapped 13 or 13 หมปู ่า mission. They also tell a story and tales from their experience of their 222 Hours 13 หมปู ่า mission.

Another memorable highlight was the unique tradition of the guards blowing their whistles every time our car passed by their stations and the soldiers who were completing their duties had to stop everything and stand straight to salute.

This simple yet powerful gesture not only exemplifies discipline, vigilance, and high responsibility but also adds an element of camaraderie to our journey. It was a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the Thai Navy personnel, leaving us with a profound admiration for their commitment and passion for their duties.

The dedication to cleanliness and the welcoming spirit of the Royal Thai Navy was evident on every beach we visited. The immaculate shores and the readiness to serve the local Thai community demonstrate the Thai Navy's commitment to its citizens and nature (Thailand’s Treasure), making this trip enjoyable and a deeply meaningful experience.

Furthermore, we had the opportunity to visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Center @ACDC Fort was a highlight that touched our hearts. Witnessing the efforts put forth to conserve and protect these incredible creatures was a poignant reminder of the importance of preserving our natural wonders for future generations and tourists to visit. It's commendable to see the Thai Navy's active involvement in such vital conservation efforts.

A special note of appreciation goes to the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Marine Corps for their thoughtful initiative. Offering a chance for the families of soldiers who have suffered, been wounded in action, or sacrificed their lives for the country, an opportunity to work at the Amazon Cafe next to Toey Ngam Beach. This demonstrates the strong sense of love and care within the Royal Thai Navy Family. We highly recommend visiting the Amazon Cafe on your next visit; it's not just a cafe but a meaningful endeavor supported by the Royal Thai Navy and PTTEP, where you'll experience warm hospitality and a chance to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Ultimately, this Thai NavyLand Trip to Sattahip has been an unforgettable journey, filled with moments of awe and inspiration. We are profoundly grateful for the warm welcome, the educational experiences, the pristine beaches, and the unique insights into the Thai Navy's dedication to its people, civilians, tourists, and the environment. Our sincere appreciation goes out to everyone involved, and we look forward to cherishing the memories and sharing the remarkable stories from this trip for years to come.

What we learn in each tourist attraction.

King’s Philosophy Learning Center: Embracing King Bhumibol's Philosophy Inaugurated in 2007, this center not only promotes self-sufficient living and new agricultural theories inspired by King Bhumibol         Adulyadej's sufficiency          economy philosophy but also displays and educates the tourist about the true King’s Philosophy of teaching is civilians to be a great person, living a successful life, and a great role model for future generations. His Majesty The King compared his civilians to a seed and depending on the factors like the soil. If the soil is good, the outcome of the seed will be something great like a great person.

Chao Pho Luang Chaloem Phrakiat Art Gallery: Showcasing Royal History and Sufficiency Economy Established in 2015, this gallery celebrates the principles of sufficiency economy, following the philosophy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It was opened on the 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in 2011. It has a total of 4 buildings. The first Building is “Finding what is missing”, and the second one is “How to gain the missing aspect?” In the case of King Bhumibol he is finding knowledge to create the solutions to solve the problems of his civilians. The third Building is “Having all the knowledge he needs to solve the problems and having the all-round skills”. Last but Not Least, The Fourth Building is “Sharing Knowledge with others and for future generations to further develop.

Sai Kaew Beach was the first beach that we visited. It was a place that was very private with a considerable number of foreigners, mostly Russian. We also had a delicious lunch meal at the Blue Sea Café and Restaurant. The beach was very well organized and the staff had a kind service mind.

Sor Beach is a small, hidden beach surrounded by mountains in Chonburi, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It prohibits aquatic animal catching and coral damage, making it an eco-friendly destination. This private beach is where community service activities are organized. There are resorts and Cafes under the authority of the Royal Thai Navy. Special thanks to the shop owner for making the Oreo Frappe and the Milk Shake as it was very refreshing.

Napataraphirom Beach or EOD Beach which has a camping place to hang out. It also contains a Cafe with a small brackish mangrove forest. The unique part about this beach is the resort that is a mix with a real “C-47 SkyTrain”. Situated just 2 kilometers from the passenger terminal, this picturesque beach offers a serene ambiance, with brown sand, clear waters, and pine trees lining the shore. Visitors can also find an intriguing sight of an old plane transformed into a house, along with beach houses and restaurants providing excellent service. Accessing the beach is easy, and camping enthusiasts will appreciate the calming breeze and convenient facilities like bathrooms, lighting, power sockets, and restaurants equipped with stove facilities for cooking. With its location in a military area, EOD Beach ensures safety and security for all visitors.

Thai Navy Air Division: Protecting Territorial Waters and Supporting Military Operations The naval air force plays a crucial role in sea control and military operations. They protect the country's territorial waters and participate in various air missions.

ACDC Mangrove Forest Park is a quiet and cozy forest trail pathway. This is a place for tourists who like to enjoy nature without going into the busy national parks. Our first impression of this Mangrove Forest is like opening the special door in Doraemon to nature. Opportunity for Ecological Study as this mangrove forest park offers an opportunity to study diverse aquatic animals and plants. Visitors can engage in activities such as mangrove planting and garbage collection.

Sea Turtle Conservation Center: Preserving Sea Turtles and Educating Visitors Established by the Royal Thai Navy in 1950, this center educates visitors about sea turtle biology and conserves and releases nursed sea turtles back into nature. It serves as a valuable research resource for sea turtle conservation information.

We also had the chance to visit Dongtan Bay as it was opposite the hotel we were staying at. There was an exhibition of .91 Ship that was designed and ordered to construct by His Majesty King Bhumibol Aduladej The Great so it is considered as the “Father’s Ship”. There was a small display of Torpedoes and AntiAircraft Machine Guns. A Serene Beach for

Sailing Training and Various Activities Dongtan Bay features sugar palm and pine trees, offering    a    peaceful    and    uncrowded atmosphere. It is a popular sailing training site and provides various activities like swimming, sailing, and kayaking.

Day 2:

This Royal Thai Marine Corps Museum was the place that we visited 10 years ago when we were 4 and 5 years old. It was renovated with more flags, a nice and easy-to-understand timeline, and more machine guns/flags. A Glimpse into Marine Corps History Located within Krom Luang Chumphon Camp, this museum collects and displays military artifacts related to the history of the Marine Corps. It offers insights into the Marine Corps' past and its contributions to the country's defense. Vajiralonglorn Cliff came from when King Rama

10 was watching the training show from Royal Thai Recon Marine diving from the top of the cliff, so it became the name of the cliff now and then. A Coral Conservation Area with Mythical Power Koh Kai Tia is a small island in Toei Ngam Beach Bay, which serves as a staghorn coral conservation area. Coral planting and snorkeling activities are organized by the Office of Tourism Affairs, Marine Corps Command. The bay area is believed to have high natural energy and is considered an area of mythical power. Marine Corps: RECON Hippotherapy opens for people with disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or any tourists whose age is under 14 to come and learn how to ride a horse.

Thai Island and Sea Natural History Museum: Promoting Understanding of Plant Genetics Situated near Khao Ma Jor under the Naval Special Warfare Command, this museum was established to promote understanding and awareness of plant genetics/plantation in Thailand and also the different sea life species. This museum is made under the research of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and other professors who volunteered. Some of them had sacrificed half of their life to research this project and gather information to create this museum. Visitors

can enjoy beautiful sea views of the Sattahip Sea and famous islands from the viewpoint.

Nam Sai Beach: A Challenging Beach with Clear Waters and Fine Sand Nam Sai Beach, located in the area of the Naval Special Warfare Command, has been open for tourists since 2014. It boasts a fine sandy beach and clear waters, offering a peaceful atmosphere and safe swimming conditions.

Nam Nao Beach is a private place with a beach full of small to medium size rocks. It was a quiet place to praise Admiral Prince Abhakara of Udom Sak Chumphon. There is a delicious restaurant at the Laem towards the beach.

Day 3:

Day 4:

Laem Pu Chao: Historical viewpoint at Sattahip Naval Base, featuring breathtaking views of Sattahip Bay and housing the Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak Shrine and a warship museum. This is also a strategic point to gain advantage from the enemy’s using nature.

To sum up we went to Admiral Prince Abhakara Garden in Nong TaKien: It was another tourist attraction for civilians to hangout during the evening and praise Admiral Prince Abhakara. There is the Admiral Prince Abhakara Museum with three buildings including 1. Sadej Tia, 2. Prince of Chumphon Udomsak, and 3. Doctor Porn.

In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt outstanding Thai NavyLand Trip to Sattahip over the past 4 days (710 August 2023).
