Nobody denies that coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) negatively affects everyone, but the group of people who are severely collided by this virus, are the medical communities, the frontline warriors against COVID-19.
The empathy of people is a part of helping Thailand pass the first wave of the virus spreading with zero new cases of infection about 7 months, not taken into account by people back from foreign countries; however, the medical communities are still preparing for the second wave of COVID-19 spreading until we have a vaccine. As the backline people, we should be on guard to follow the social distancing rules and continue to empathize with others because the economic crisis, which may be more harmful than COVID-19, is just starting.
It's happened again. At the end of 2020, the COVID-19 in Thailand has come back as a more difficult situation than the 1st wave. The border between Thailand and Myanmar is facing a hard situation. Both Thai and Burmese are trying to cross from the Myanmar border to Thailand illegally, which many of them bring in COVID-19. The doctor, soldier, and police in the frontline might be well prepared since the first wave, but there are too many to defend because some selfish people, particularly the bad officers who do not care about the consequence, just want the money from illegal workers. In early January 2021, the pandemic spread throughout the countries, especially Samutsakorn, 4 eastern provinces, and the Bangkok region, failing to stop. Samutsakorn is the first province that found the spreading due to both legal and illegal migrant workers' movement. Four provinces in the East including Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi, and Trad are the second group that spreading. The source of COVID-19 is from the illegal casinos. In Bangkok, the spreading came from the night workers and night out. The bar and pub are the closed spaces, which are not clean and lack fresh air circulation, and people dance, drink, smoke close to each other. Last week, the case seemed to be decreasing, the Minister of Education allowed the school to re-open on 1 February, meanwhile after a famous DJ was infected and may become a super spreader since he joined the birthday party, which has caused almost 30 people to infect so far. The infected people still hide in the cloud.
I have to learn online for 4 weeks after Christmas break as a consequence of unaware people. I have already settled with online learning. And now, I'm being asked to go to school next Monday (1 February) without any guarantee for safety. Those people who illegally border pass then fly into the cloud and the guys who want the school to open for a result in politics need to deserve what they did, not the kids who follow all the government's instructions.
"Take Care of Yourself, Empathize Others, Support the Frontline Soldiers Against COVID-19" All need to keep in mind.
