15/2021:Exploration of Deep Sea

 Exploration of the deep sea is the study of the sea bed by using physical, chemical, and biological. Humans are investigating and understanding mainly what the ecosystem of the sea looks like. We can find the deepest place like the Challenger depth of the Mariana Trench near the Philippines coast. 

The first person, Ferdinand Magellan, made his first exploration in the Pacific sea at 2,400 feet underwater in 1521. The world record of the deepest person is Victor Vescovo in 2019, he reached the bottom of Challenge depth in Mariana trench. 

The tools we can use today are called “submarine”. From weapons of war to exploration tools, it’s proven that it can go anywhere in the ocean. 

Since World War I and II, German use their U boat very effectively to the Allies' ships to England. In the Cold war, the U.S. used it against the attack of Soviet subs.

To make one good sub, it needs a special material that has to be strong enough to handle the strength of water pressure. Others like computers and communication lines can prevent the mistake if the system is very good to connect with the outside world.

Other economic impacts like protecting the valuable resource underwater. For example, Thailand has sea resources which change to money is 24 trillion baht ( $786,369,600,000) to be protected by the Royal Thai navy. They want a small submarine to protect it, but some guys want to sell all the resources to other countries, so they just said “no Subs” for no specific reasons.

These are the 3 best submarines for exploration. The first and newest is Triton which is used by Victors. Others like Swiss-made Trieste used by Italian and U.S. explorers. In Australia, they made a Deepsea Challenger which can take a 3D picture of the Mariana trench.

The opportunity of submarine exploration of the deep sea is that we can find new types of animals and it also attracts tourists to the beauty of nature.

In many countries like the U.S. and Russia or China, They use submarines to be their main weapon at sea because it’s so effective to both enemy weakness and our country's strength.

The risk is that it’s very hard to escape from very deep water if some mistake happens. Because of the pressure, we need a special suit but it can’t work in super water because it can break during the escape too.

The consequence is that some human activities are affected mainly by the environment. We should protect it for our next generation. It’s also part of every one responsibility to protect and conserve nature.

Deepwater exploration is a mystery and fun thing to do. Mostly it is for tourists to enjoy nature. Today, climate change and human activities change these beauties into dust. We humans have to protect and preserve it for the next generation. In the future, humans will go deeper and deeper as we can into the Mariana trench.
